MISSION
Home Away From Home Family Resource Center, Inc is a non profit organization that provide for families in a crisis situation in Dekalb and Metro Atlanta with resources to better their lives by assisting with the acquisitions of employment, housing, health benefits, financial assistance, continuing education and provide advocacy in Social Security, Child Support, Taxes and Juvenile / Magistrate cases.
OUR VISION
HAFH is looking for approximately 20-25 acres of land for the structure of the building. The ground part of the building will be the resource center with the following amenities accessible to each tenant/ staff member in the building. A cafeteria/ bakery coffee shop set up on the style of Panera Bread with open foyer for seating, then we will have a barber shop and salon, a laundry room and an urgent care clinic set up like CVS Pharmacy.
OUR BRAND
We got started in an apartment home helping Katrina victims with resources in Georgia to help them in their time of a crisis. Then God spoke to me and said my child you have communities that need your help in Metro Atlanta. Therefore, we started advocating for families in the Metro Atlanta area that had an economic hardship. Our motto is “Connecting communities together to ensure that each family or induvial has the necessary resources for living in such an exigent time.”
OUR WORK
Since the founding of HAFH in 2006; HAFH has assist over hundreds of families and approximately 500 plus people within the eleven years of operation. HAFH originated with the aid of Hurricane Katrina victims in the collaboration with Greenforest Baptist Ministries. The envision of aiding the families gave us the mission statement as to how to transform these families back into society after their crisis, Hurricane Katrina. These families were resilient and were able to utilize the resources HAFH provided.
